Well, we's not quite as big as Indy Pug bloggers, but Birmingham is getting more pug blogs! Welcome Kitty & Coco! (Kitty isn't a cat, she's a boston terrier.. I's not understanding that, but that's her name). Go say "Hey!" if you haven't already met them.

The Joys of Having a (Male) Pug
Harry's extremely overprotective, paranoid, and possibly pervy Mom here. Don't anyone tell Harry about this post. He would be extremely embarrassed if he knew I told you this.
Some of you have heard all the gory details, and some of you are still scratching your heads wondering what all of my worrying and Laura's laughing on facebook yesterday was all about.
It started out innocent enough. Harry was out on the back deck with me, the roommate and LuLu. I'm a little over-indulgent at times with Harry, so I allow him to get on the patio table as long as nobody is eating. He loves it up there as it allows for primo butt scratching by anyone at the table.
While he was up there I noticed he had the tip of his "lipstick" out. I realize this is normal for most dogs, but it's not for Harry. He's a keep the lipstick in its case kinda dog. So, as I looked a little more closely I noticed there was something on it - it looked like extra skin, or a growth or something that just wasn't right. Upon even further inspection, I noticed a piece of grass or some other equally foreign object was stuck between his lipstick and its protective case. Avert your eyes and scroll down quickly to avoid the pug porn.
(Yes I took a picture with my phone in case anyone needed to see it to help with the diagnosis).
I was kindof freaking out, telling the mean roommate to take a look and let me know what he thought. Of course he wouldn't. (men!) So, I took Harry inside and booted up the laptop and started googling all kinds of things that nobody should ever google.
I also emailed a few male-pug owning friends and put out an SOS bulletin on Facebook. The advice and opinions started pouring in and I was reassured that what had happened was very normal for male dogs. The icky growth turned out to be dried gunk (discharge, smegma, whatever). I cleaned his man parts off with a tissue and everything returned to its normal position.
Today things are back to normal and I will leave you with this adorable picture of my very prim and proper pugs (taken before our house turned into pervy central).

Tallulah Tuesday... I'm Two!
Hey there everypuggie! I guess I should be really glad I have my very own blogging day because the Momma is not doing a good job of helping Harry keep up his blog! Harry said sometimes she gets like this but hopefully she'll get with the program again soon!
So, I get to blog today about something very exciting! Saturday I had my very first REAL birthday celebration! My foster mom said my birthday was in May, so Mom decided we would make May 22nd my birthday. I get to share it with Punchy!!!
My birthday weekend didn't start out too good. Friday night me and Harry got baths! Harry's weird because he goes right into the shower when Mom tells him he's getting a bath. Then he runs around like crazy when he's finished with his bath like he's just had the best thing in the world happen. I hate the bath! I just stood there scared to death the whole time. Then when it was over I ran around like crazy because I was free!!!!! Between the being bathed and the running around after, me and Tubby were pretty tired.
My actually birthday started out really good. Mom put me in my new birthday bandanna and took me to the Farmer's Market.
Ok, she took Tubby too.
I'd never been to the Farmer's Market, but there were TONS of people there - and some dogs too! Right when we got there we met a very handsome pug named Louis (Louie). Mom says she didn't take pictures because she had her hands full with us... whatever. I'm telling you, she's a slacker!
So anyway, we saw lots of people and there were foodables everywhere! One of Mom's friends met us there and he got to walk Harry while I stayed with Mom. Want to hear what Harry did??? (hee hee... it's so funny!) While Harry was walking with Mom's friend Stan, Harry would walk over to random women, sniff their legs and sit or stand right beside them! Stan thanked him for "helping a brother out". Mom said it was typical that he would do that for Stan but Harry's never gone to work for Mom like that! I guess it's up to me to bring the cute guys to Mom!
After the Farmer's Market we went home and boy were us pugs tired! We layed our bellies on the cool floor and Mom went next door and brought THIS back.
Her name is Bama and her daddies asked Mom to keep her while they were away that day because they were afraid she would have her puppies while they were gone. Imagine that. This hussy wanted to come to MY house on MY birthday and have puppies! I told Mom I needed better treatment than that!
So, she loaded me and Tubby up in the car again and took us to the pet store where she bought me (and Tubby) new chew bones!
Hey, Tubby! Down in front!
I really don't know why she brought him. It is MY birthday!
I'm telling you, Tubby would not sit or stand still the entire visit to the pet store!
Later that night, this popped out of preggars.
I guess it's a puppy. It could be a panda bear for all I know... or a gerbil.
At least the day ended on a good note. I got BOTH chew bones when we went to bed!
On Sunday we just hung out at home. Mom took us for a really long walk. Then we sat on the deck for a while. I really enjoyed my first birthday celebration. Mom looks like a hot mess in this pic, but I think you can see how happy I am!

Tallulah Tuesday... 2 Times the Fun!
So Mom's been really busy lately. Too busy apparently to type up blogs for me and Harry. So, since today is my day I'm going to update you on the goings on around here.
TWO weekends ago, I got to be an only pug. For a little while.
Mom took me and me only to run a few errands. Don't I look good as an only pug?
Harry wondered where we went, but I just acted like I couldn't hear him. This is my innocent look.
Of course the illusion was shattered when Mom took both of us to the dog park.
As you can see, Harry had to take his Tiger. Like our car seat isn't crowded enough already.
Of course it was Mother's Day when we went to the park, so Harry and I tried to be good for Mom. We even posed a little bit for the camera.
It was really tough getting comfortable on our way home. Tubby sure does know how to hog the car seat.
I finally managed to push him over a little bit so I could have room too. All in all, it was a pretty good weekend.
Then this past weekend, I got to be famous!!!! This weekend was Do Dah Day. Maybe Harry's mentioned it before. I had never heard of it before I came to live with my Mom, but it sounds like a lot of fun for dogs! Mom said Harry and I couldn't go because she would be working the whole day on Saturday and would be there for over 12 hours! So, to make up for leaving us all day on Saturday she spent lots of time with us on Friday.
We got up really early and went to the park where Do Dah Day takes place. There were some other people there and some other dogs. Some dogs had furever homes and some dogs were still waiting on theirs.
Then there was this guy from the TV who was talking to people and putting them on TV. I got to talk to him! I told him all about how I got rescued and then my Mom adopted me. Oh, and Mom told him how people needed to come to Do Dah Day and buy t-shirts and bandanas and stuff to help other dogs who need homes.
We don't have video, but I'm gonna let you see pictures of me in my pretty pink bandana.
Cute, huh?
Harry got to go on the TV and talk about donating pet fur to make booms for the gulf coast. That was OK with me though because he wasn't on the TV with Mom, he was with some other lady.
AND it's type-casting anyway. Everypuggie knows Harry is hairy and he sheds more than any other pug in the whole world. Want proof? Mom furminated both of us Friday night so she could take our fur to Do Dah Day to donate it. This is how much she got from me.
THIS is how much she got from Harry. That's not a sandwich bag, y'all. That's a pretty big ziploc bag!
Being on the TV was the only real excitement that day. The rest of the time we just hung out and looked cute.
We DID get to play in the back of a golf cart but Mom wouldn't ride us around. Mean Mommy!
I hope you all had a fun weekend! We'll try to get around to everypuggies' blog soon. Mom keeps complaining about being tired. If she would sleep 20 hours or so a day like me and Harry do, she might not have so much to complain about!

Friendly Friday
Hi friends! I wants to thank everypuggie who reads my bloggie. I's not feeling sorry for myself with that last post. I's just looking to make the whole country green! Kinda like Stubby and Puglet except different ;-) I's also hoping it would get more of the bloggers interested in seeing what kind of traffic they gets on their site. Mom's geeky like that and she told me it was fun to see.
(That's me saying "Mom, not everybody is as geeky as you are. You sure they's gonna care?)
I also wants to say how happy I am for all the friends I have made on my blog. Now I's gonna share some of my friends that I has at home.
This is giraffe. He came to live with me a few weeks ago. He squeaks on all his paws - and so far he still does, I's gonna get those squeakers eventually.
This is my sister LuLu. I guess she's a friend too. I's getting pretty attached to her.
I hopes all you puggies and peoples gets to spend time with your friends this weekend!

Why Don't You Love Me?
I know most of you love me (and LuLu), but Mom was looking at our "stats" report and I wants to know why peoples in these states don't love me. See those states in white? Those states have not visited me - at least not in a month or so.
Idaho (I likes potatos!)
Utah (do Mormons not like pugs?)
Arizona
New Mexico
Wyoming
South Dakota
Nebraska
Louisiana (I's shocked by this!)
Tennessee
Kentucky
Ohio
Delaware
Alaska
Hawaii
(Granted, not so surprised by those last two)
Pugs we needs to raise awareness of the lovableness of pugs in these states! If you know a pug lover in one of these states, encourage them to blog - and to read my blog! (shameless self promotion, I know!)
So, lots of other stuffs to talk about. It was my birthday Sunday and I didn't get a big fancy party like some puggie, but I gots a little special treatment. Obviously Mom is slacking on my blog - she hasn't even changed out the header yet!
I'll fills you in later.
