Thanks!!!

Today we wants to thank all our pug bloggie friends for two reasons.

1. Mom's been going through some rough stuff and she told you all abouts it and you have all been so nice to my Mom!!! We really appreciates it. She says to tell you that things may work out OK. We's gonna try to stay here - even if it means searching for a new roommate. I hopes they likes puggies!

2. I's gonna be a calendar pug again! We just looked at SEPRA's website and the result are in. I's gonna be in the calendar! Looks like the contest rasied over $6,000 for pug rescue, so thanks everyone who voted! Think how many pugs that will help!

We loves our pug bloggie friends. Pug hugs and kisses to everybody!

Happy Gotcha Day, Harry!

It's a little early, but I'm posting a "Gotcha Day" message for my little puggie.

Harry is one of the best things that's ever happened to me. He makes me laugh every single day. He loves me unconditionally and I love him more than I knew was possible.

So, here's a little look back on his 2nd year with me.

Another Shameless Plea

Hey there pugs and peoples. I's got my paw out again. It's the final round of the SEPRA calendar contest and Mom really wants me to be in it. I's OK with being a humble little non-famous pug, but you know how Moms can be.

So, we's asking for your votes for me. I's kinda far behind right now. I's got 70 votes and the last place in the top 13 right now has 121 or so.

So, if you can spare a dollar or two I sure would appreciates it. Saturday is my Gotcha Day (2nd anniversary) and this would be a really nice gift to me and SEPRA. Mom says that without SEPRA she wouldn't has the gift of me!

You can votes for me here: http://www.pugged.com/SEPRA/target30.html

Lazy Days

Hey pugs and peoples. Things sure have been quiet around my house for the past few days. I guess Mom is recovering from her trip to New Orleans when she LEFT ME AT HOME! Not that I was upset or anything. A puggie needs a little peace and quiet sometimes. That's right, no big parties for me while Mom was gone (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

So, Mom gots home Sunday night and I was hiding from her. I had a very clever hiding place. I went in the bathroom closet and closeded the door behind me. It took her FOREVER to finds me! Honest, I went in there alls on my own. It was not Midi's idea. It was mines! So, when she finally founds me, she was REALLY happy to sees me. And I was happy too!

We slept like all day on Monday. Then my friend J came over and we all went to La Paz for Mexican food. I hads not been there before but it was lots of fun! Everybodys loved me there.

This week has been more sleepings. Well, work and sleepings. I think maybe Mom had too much fun in New Orleans. I should has been there to chaperone!

Mom says this weekend she's going to my hometown but I can'ts go. She's transporting a rescue puggie to his long-term foster home. His name is Frank. You can reads about him on SEPRA's website. I's OK with that. I would go, but Mom is all excited about going to the IKEA. I dunno what that means, but I hope it means treats for me!

Here's my smiling face cause I knows you's missed me!

Later, pugs and peoples!

Pugs on Parade

Hey there pugs and peoples! I's back! No more talking about Midi T. Kitty cause this blog is all about me! (although Mom says to tell you that Midi is doing good - she has a more normal water and peeing routine and she's taking her pills)

So, it looked likes it was a busy weekend for alls the puggies out there! Don't you just loves this time of year when our peoples start taking us more places!?! Saturday morning my friend J came over and Mom packed up a big bag o' stuffs for us and we took a car trip down to this place called Oak Mountain State Park. It's like 30 minutes or so from where we lives. They was having a pug party there! It was called Pugs on Parade and it was a fun raiser for Alabama Pug Rescue. Oh pug was it fun!

It was in this area that was right on the water and had lots of shade.

They had these funny games you could play. One had this big scary pug and you had to throw these bags in his big toothy mouth!

Then there was another giant pug but this one looked nice. You had to throw these big rings around him.

I gots kinda tired of walking around and went and stretched out on my blanket Mom brought us.

Yeah, I liked hanging out in the shade.

There were puggies there dressed up. Look at this cute little girl.

Lots of gettin to know each other.

Mom tried to take a picture of me and her while J was snoozing on the blanket. She's so silly!

That night we was exhausted! Mom left me to go to some concert but I gots to hang out with my friend J. We slepts on the sofa together until Mom got home.

Sunday we hads to go get the t-shirts ready for the Do Dah Day. I don't has pictures, but I spent ALL DAY with my boxer girlfriends Maggie and Laila. We hung out while the peoples folded all those shirts and then we wents to my favorite restaurant, Rojo and chilled while the peoples ate and had cold beers. They would not give me the beer, but I got a chippie or two!

Fun weekends all around I think. Hope you puggies all have fun weeks this week!

A Letter to Mr. New President Obama

Dear Mr. New President,

I watched you win last night and I want to say Congrats to you! I's very happy and my Mom saids she's very proud of this country.

Now, I heards your speech last night and you saids that your daughters could have a puppy now. I has a recommendation for you. Pug! Ok, not just any pug - rescue pug! In facts, I's been thinkin about it and I has an idea. You should gets two pugs - and represent the unity of the country. One fawn and one black. I has the perfect pugs for you.

Will and Grace represents overcoming adversary and they has lots of hope. You should definitely adopt Will and Grace to go to that big white house you's gonna be living in!

If that doesn't work out, I still thinks you should get a pug or two - your house is gonna be plenty big enough and pugs are small!

Will & Grace

Ok. I's gettin ready to show you some more pictures from Pugfest. But, first I's gonna tell you a little story. Ok, Mom is going to tell it.

There are two pugs named Will and Grace. Will and Grace were found wandering on the side of a road, covered in mud with no hair (demodox mange) and Will had an awful eye injury. There are two "before" pictures and I'm going to show you the better of the two. Brace yourselves, it's not pretty.

SEPRA took them in, got them treatment and started them on their road to recovery. When found they were a little over 5 months old and only weighed 4 and 6 lbs. (Grace being the smaller of the two). Well, they were at Pugfest and I was so happy to see how well they are doing. Here are some pictures and a video.

Here are Will and Grace (Will was very hard to get a picture of because he was so active!)

Cute little Grace
See how cute, alert and active they are!?!?!

Please read their entire story. I think they will make wonderful additions to someone's home.

Superstar

I hate to jinx it, because it hasn't happened yet... but Mom said I'm going to be on the TV. The Do Dah Day is a month away so they are really working hard to get the word out about how great it's going to be. Tomorrow morning a Do Dah rep will be on this show called Good Day Alabama on Fox 6 to talk about the event and show off this year's t-shirts. Well, since this is the first year they are selling Doggie tees, Mom said I would go on and model them.

I'm kinda nervous!

Will let you know tomorrow how it turns out :-)

Oh, Mom said she will NOT be on the TV with me. Something about it being OK for pugs to be pudgy but it's not OK for her to be. I don't know what's she's talking about because I am NOT pudgy. I'm puggy.

Pugs in Need - please help!

(A post from Harry's Mom)
Without Southeast Pug Rescue and Adoption, I would not have Harry Pugalicious in my life. So, when I learned today that they are facing a large financial problem I immediately started networking to my animal-loving friends to try to find donations for them.

Please take a minute to read the letter from their president - and the story of one very special pug - Odie. Please pass along - and donate what you can spare to this wonderful organization. They do such good work and I can't do enough to thank them for putting me and Harry together.

Please allow me to introduce myself...

Hello, My name is Harry Pugalicious. Welcome to my blog.

The layout is still under construction, my Mom has good intentions - but sometimes she gets busy with other things. I personally don't see how that "J-O-B" thing takes up so much time, but my sad-looking little blog is a very good example of how much she neglects me for it.

Just to catch you up on things, I'm 1 1/2 years old. I was born in Georgia, surrendered from a breeder at 14 months and adopted by my Mom a month later. Now I live in Alabama with her and Midi T. Kitty.

So, I've been here 4 months now (yesterday was my 4 month anniversary). Here are some pics from the past few months.

That's me sleeping in my first morning in my new home. That's Buddha with me.

That's me playing.

I love my fortune cookie!

Toys!

Me and Mom out on the town.

I really wanted my own glass of pinot noir.
