One more day until Pugfest, peoples!!!! If you lives anywhere close to Atlanta, pack up the puggies and head there tomorrow morning!

Do you know what they's gonna have at Pugfest? Yeah, there will be pugs and pug stuff and pug t-shirts and pug treats and all other kinds of pug goings ons. But there will also be a pug calendar! A pug calendar with a picture of ME! If you can't go to Pugfest, don't worries. You can buy my calendar online at http://store.rescuepug.com/calendar.html.

Remember, not only will you gets to have a calendar with me in it, you's gonna be helping little puggies who haven't found their furever home yet.

Have you puggies ever had a pumpkin?? Has you ever been ON a pumpkin?? Last night Mom was playing with this pumpkin all night - I wasn't too happy about that until I discovered how good pumpkins taste! Then, I was OK with her playing with it and not me. Then, when she got finished with it I saw that it was still all about me. She had put me on the pumpkin! Look!

I looks kinda good in orange!

Ok, all you puggies and peoples and other animals have lots of fun on Howloween and be safe!

Wild Thing!

Hey there pugs and peoples! I's so exciteds to tell you about last night!

Me and the Mom went to Howl-o-Ween at Generation Dog! (although it was actually next door at a pizza place... NOM!) Mom has been workings on my costume and her costume all week. You's already seen the humiliating piccies of me in those fishnets. Well, here's what the Mom calls "Phase 2" of the costume.

I let her know just how I was feelings about my costume.

You's still wondering where this is going, aren't you? I know. So was I - believe me!

Once we got to the pizza place, I saw lots of other doggies dressed up (although none with fishnets, so I quickly removed mine!).

There was this big bully dog - he was some kindof martian arts thing I think.

And a crawfish! Mom says it's a lobster, but it's too small to be a lobster, so it must be a crawish!

Oh, and there was cake!

Finally, we puts on all of our costumes for judging. Know who I ams?

I's the monster from Where the Wild Things Are!!!! Mom is Max (although maybe she's Maxine cause she's pink!!!)

The humiliation was worths it. We won two prizes! For both of them we got gift certificates for the pizza place AND Generation Dog! I can't waits to spend all my winnings at Genearation Dog! It's gonna be great!

The fun keeps coming too! Mom says Saturday is Pugfest. YAY!!!!

Midi Monday

In today's Midi Monday, we discuss Reluctant Snuggling, sometimes referred to as Snuggling Out of Necessity

Hello pugs, pug sympathizers and those who must live with pugs and/or pug sympathizers. Today we're going to discuss what I call Snuggling Out of Necessity - it's what us cats have to do when it's just too darn cold to sleep by ourselves and there's no lap available (as was the case this weekend).

First, find a pug - I can assure you the pug will already be sleeping or about to sleep. Move in on the pug.

Now, you must assess the situation from a closer perspective to figure out just how far away you can lay while still gaining some body heat from said pug.

Remember, once you get in position you can move if necessary. Rule of paw is if you can feel the pug breathing on you, you're too close!

Hey, move over a little, Tubby!

Normally, you should avoid any photos being captured while you are in this position. I allowed these only to demostrate my technique.

Hope this helps! Peace out!

The Pug Liberator Speaks!

I's so excited! After much coaxing, my Libby "the Liberator" pug has started a blog! Please, everypuggie and person welcome her with open paws and lots of kisses. http://libbythepugliberator.blogspot.com/

Tired Tuesday

I sleeps while my Mom is at work. Sometimes she comes home and disturbs my napping.

I's Been Liberated!

Some of you may be wonderings just who that little girl puggie is on my last few blog posts. That is Liberty Belle Blues a.k.a. Libby a.k.a. "The Liberator" (that's what my Mom started callings her and her Mom thought it was funny so it stuck). Here she is...

Libby lives down in Montgomery - you's heard me talk about her before. Our Moms hooked us up and she's in love with me. I's not bragging. I's just stating the facts. I's got proof!

See what I means?

So, this past weekend Mom came home from work early on Friday and we got in the car and headed south. Libby was so exciteds to see me! Our Moms were celebrating Oktoberfest with some other peoples. (that just means they went out and drank lots of beer) They left me and Libby locked in the kitchen together.

I hates to talk bad about Libby, but just so some of you other puggies (and one little Japanese Chen) know... when Mom got home I met her at the door! I had to get out of the kitchen cause Libby was all over me! See, I's not that kind of dog. I likes the romance! It wasn't easy either.. I hads to squeeze through the bars on the gate. I did that for you Clementine! And you, Rosie! You too, Pearlie-poo! And, of course you... Pumpkin!

Saturday morning Mom and me drove back to Birmingham... and took Libby with us! I couldn't believes it! At first I thought she was gonna come live with me. I like her, but I's not ready to get married or anything! As it turns out, her Mom came up later and we all had a great time watching football and playing with all my stuffies.

Sunday we wents to the brunch. It's been a long time since me and Mom went to Jackson's for brunch, so I was really excited to go! They were so happy to see me there. Everybody thought Libby was really cute too.

I had to rides in the back of the car when we went places with Libby. I's never done that before, but I handled it OK.

We were both really tireds after brunch. Only pugs aren't used to having to play so much! So, we tooks a nap on the way home.

Not Amused

(Note from the one with fingers: Midi Monday is a day late due to my sleeping most of Monday - thank you, tonsillitis!)

Greetings, and welcome to another edition of Midi Monday. First, let me say that I appreciate all of the comments I received last week. It's nice to see so many fans -even if some of you still don't understand why I just can't snuggle with the pug.

I'm sorry to report I suffered yet another indignity this weekend. Instead of just having to deal with Harry, there was a second snorting, heavy-breathing thing with a curly tail running around my home. What made it worse is she wanted to play with me. Her. Play. With ME. Seriously?

Here's what I thought of that.

Can you see the disgust in my eyes?

She even had the audacity to act like she owned the place! Look at her on my sofa!

You can see she had the pug wrapped around her little paw.

I should point out that she didn't just get one of his chew chews out of his toy box, she got ALL of them out.

Luckily the little thing they called "Libby" went home Sunday. Harry has been on his best behaviour with me since then!

Pug for a Cause

Hey there pugs and peoples! Happy October! I knows this month is all about dressing us pugs up in silly costumes and parading us arounds, but it's also something even more important than that.

It's Save the Pillows month. (Note from Harry's mom: Harry means Breast Cancer Awareness month.) This is the month when people do all kinds of things to raise money so really smart people can do research to save those soft things on our Moms that make such great pillows for us pugs. Mom says sometimes women (and even some men) get cancer there and it can be really bad. Like sometimes it means puggies lose their Moms or Dads forever. I say let's stop that from happening!

People go on big walks and runs to raise money (and usually leave the pugs at home, thank goodness!) My Mom is gonna do one of these walks and if you want to donate, you can do that here:

https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=304893&supId=263681985&msource=boundlessfun

She said she's gonna do this with a whole bunch of people from where she works. She sure would appreciates it if you donated!

Thanks Pearlie-poo, for giving a shout-out to my Mom on your bloggie today!
