Midi Monday

Greetings and welcome to Midi Monday. My feline friend Menace suggested quite some time ago that Monday on this blog be all about me, but today is the first Monday I've been able to bend the human and the pug to my will (at least about this!)

For the one or two of you unfamiliar with me, I am Midi T. Kitty. I've been living with the human for over 14 years now - after I used all my cunning to make her believe I was stuck in a tree and she had to "rescue" me. For all of you cats out there wondering why I used so much drama rather than just showing up on her doorstep, the answer is simple. The rougher the human believes my pre-home circumstances to be, the greater the love and affection (and servitude) she will show me.

We can discuss the unfortunate events that weakened my 14 year reign at another time (pug), but for now let's address some recent accusations.

The pug is trying to gain your sympathy by saying that I will not snuggle with him. I say... if someone put their butt in your face on a regular basis, walked around snorting and sneezing, and dripped water from their face EVERY TIME they attempted to rehydrate; would YOU want to snuggle? I thought not.

I leave you with proof that I'm far cuddlier than the pug and he has lots to overcome before he deserves my cuddles!

Purrs,
Midi

Me and My Kitty

Hey there pugs and peoples. The Mom hasn't been very good about helpings me with the bloggie. Not that anything exciting has happened anyway. We stayed home this weekend - no road trips, no girlfriend visits, nothing! Oh, and on tops of that I gots a bath!

Saturday Mom did take me to the farmer's market, but it was raining so we didn't stays long. Then was the bath.

Saturday night we stayed home and had margaritas and chili and watched football. Geaux Tigers! (Mom had that fun stuff, they said I couldn't that it would be bad for the puggie. I's so neglected!)

I tried to get Midi to snuggle with me.

Midi doesn't like to snuggle with the pug.

I needs a snuggle buddy! Who's up for it?

The Old Me

Hey there puggies and peoples. Mom had to switch back to her old phone recently cause the one she's been using has a crappy battery. Sooo, this "old" phone is the phone she had when she adopted your truly, Harry Pugalicious.

She found these piccies on her old phone. It's the old me.

It's the me the day I gots adopted.

It was a happy me cause I hads a new Mom - my furever Mom. Mom says I looked too skinny now that she looks back - she says I looked like one of those "lollipop-head actresses".

I says Yeah! Now gives me another treat!

The Biggest Puglet

Harry's Mom here. I wanted to tell you a little story about a very big puglet. His name is Grover and he's not really a puglet - but I suspect he thinks he is.

Grover is a mastiff puppy whose littermates didn't survive and who was then rejected by his mother. Lucky for him, there was another litter due at his home. A litter of puglets. The pug mother took Grover in like he was her own and nursed him along with her pug puppies.

Harry and I went to see the pug puppies this weekend - along with Harry's newest girlfriend Libby. These are Libby's brothers (an all-boy litter), so Libby's Mom wanted to see them and I was all about going along for the ride. Who can resist puppy breath?

Harry told you about his experience - I can tell you that it wasn't easy to leave there without a puppy. I fell in love with Grover, as probably everyone does!

This story of Grover reminds me of a book I love. It's called the Ugly Pugling. Search for it on Amazon (or your bookstore of choice) - its' a wonderful story!

I think Grover will always be an honorary pug :-)

Alien Invasion

This weekend Mom tooks me back down to Montgomery to visit my new girlfriend Libby.

Isn't she cute?

She had "the procedure" done earlier in the week and had been feeling bad, but I thinks my coming to see her perked her right up cause she was really excited to see me and wanted to play the whole time I was there!

I thought we would have the whole night to ourselves, but our Moms had other plans. They took us to see some little aliens. I dunno what these things were, but Mom said they were little versions of me. I don'ts believe it. Just look at this thing!

There were too many for me to keep up with... they were all over the place!

They were climging all over my Mom..

And sniffing my ears (My friend Chewie says this is how they eats your brains).

One of 'em even tried to steals my chew chew!

Then there was this...

They calleds him Grover. He hung out with the little aliens like he was one of thems, but he was so big! Maybe he was the leader of their mission.

Thanksfully, the Moms took me and Libby home without any aliens. We played all night and I even got to sleep at her house! We hads to be separated though so we'd actually sleep. Sunday me and my Mom went home and I slepts ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT! I's still kinda tired!

(Note from Harry's Mom: Tune in tomorrow to learn more about Grover, the biggest puglet)

I'm It!

I's been tagged by my dear, sweet Pumpkin. First, Pumpkin wants to know how I gots my name. When Mom adopted me from the nice people at SEPRA I already had the name "Harry". Mom's not sure if they gave it to me or that breeder who surrendered me did. She thinks probably SEPRA.

Well, Mom thought of bunches of names before she adopted me and was waiting to meet me before she decided on one. Once she met me she felt like Harry was a good name for me and she didn't want to force any other changes on me. But she felt like Harry didn't really convey all of my personality - so she added the "Pugalicious". I thinks she did good - I's very pugalicious! (Yeah, I blow kisses...)

Hmmm... I wants to know why Coco is called Coco (Happy Birthday, dude!) and I's also wondering about Frances who, like Coco, lives in Florida.

Pumpkin also gave me this award.

When accepting this award, you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans were not watching…If you have never stolen any food, you must be a really good pup!! You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward! Next add the logo of this award to your Blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving a message on their Blogs…

I's too short to steal much food - I can't reach the counters! Mom actually spent lots of time thinkings about this and she only knows about when I's gone into her purse and gotten my treats out. I says, what she doesn't know won't gets me in trouble!

I's gonna tag these puggies:
Pearlie-poo
Clementine
Rosie
Coco
Frances

Now for a pic in case anypuggie misses me.

Leisurely Labor Day

Hey there pugs and peoples! I hopes everyone had a fun Labor Day. I knows I did!

Saturday morning Mom packed up the car, put me in my car seat and we headed south on I-65. Usually this means we's going to see grandmama and grandpapa. But, this time we mades a stop along the way in MONTGOMERY. I's not yelling but Mom says it's a capital city, so I guess it's spelled in all caps.

Anyways. We stopped there so I could spend some time with my Alabama gal, Liberty Belle Blues. She doesn't has a blog, but she's on Facebook! This was the first time we mets in pugson, so I was kinda nervous.

But, it was easy to feel like myself cause Libby is a true Southern pug. She was so sweet and polite - and REALLY feisty! Just look at how cute she is in her little pink harness!

We ran around and played until we were pooped.

Then our Moms took us to brunch! Here's Libby asking her Mom for some of her yummy salad.

It was kinda hot, but we still had lots of fun.

Once we were back in the car and on the road to Mobile, I could relax. Oh pugs, was I tired!

I snoozed all the way to my grandpawents house!

Hope everypuggie has a good week - we can all rest now that the peoples have gone back to work!

Road Trip!!!

This is what I's gonna be doing tomorrow.

Caption should read "Mom, are we there yet?"

Me and Mom are packing up the car and going on a road trip. I's gonna go meet my friend Libby who lives in Montgomery. Mom and her Mom are on that book of faces together. We were going to go look at puppies, just cause Mom wanted to see them (she thinks they're cute or something).... but plans have changed so now we's just gonna go have brunch with Libby and her Mom (yay!)

THEN we's gonna keep driving south and go see my grandpawents. My uncle is gonna be there too! I's so excited. They all loves me.

Hope every other puggie out there has a fun weekend. Pearlie, I's still trying to figure out if Oklahoma is on the way to the Gulf Coast. I knows you need saving!

Date Night

I don't wants to make any puggie (or Japanese Chin) jealous... but I hads a date last night. Mom made me go... honest! But I did have some fun.

My date for the evening was Stella. She's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was rescued from a puppy mill. It's so sad she spent the first three years or so of her life in a cage. She's kinda shy because of that, but I thinks we bonded a little because we's both rescues.

Isn't she pretty?

My Mom and her Mom took us to this Italian place for dinner. We both LOVE Italian food and we tried to tell our Moms that!

We ended up getting a little fruit, although I should mention that Stella's Mom owns Generation Dog and she brought us my favorite treat - cannoli!!! We hads fun and the Moms had fun drinking wine and eating calzones. It was a nice way to celebrates the first day of my month!

Don't worry Pearlie, Rosie, Clementine and Pumpkin. I's not forgetting you!

September is My Month!!!!

Hey there pugs and peoples! Guess what today is! Today is September 1st. That means that Harry's month has begun! I's a superstar every day this month! You wants to know why? 'Cause I's on the SEPRA calendar this month. Peoples in houses all over the southeast has me on their wall!

We celebrateded this morning with bacon! I hopes this means I gets to have bacon every day this month.
