Pugfest 2009

Hey there pugs and peoples! What a fun and exiciting weekend I hads. Saturday was Pugfest!. That's when I return to Atlanta to thank Southeast Pug Rescue & Adoption, the organization that tooks me in and then found me my Mom. This was my third Pugfest and it was LOTS of fun!

Here I am in the morning, all ready to go!

After a while, the drive got kinda boring though. Good thing I remembered to brings Froggie along to keeps me company!

Once we gots there, that place was bananas!

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!

There were chicken pugs...

Devil pugs...

Dinopugs..

And that weird Geico thing was there watching everypuggie!

Oh, and I hopes Libby isn't going to be upset, but there was a Snow White... uh, Snow Black??? I dunno. She was kinda cute, but not as cute as Libby!!!

Me and the Mom walkeds around and looked at all the puggies and pug stuff. Mom helped sell T-shirts and I won "Honorable Mention" (runner-up) in the Most Wrinkled contest.

We bid on this really cool shirt for me.

Obviously we did not wins.

Finally it was time to go home. I was pooped! It's a good thing Mom had to drive home!

(Note from Harry's Mom: Isn't it funny how similar Harry's going to Atlanta pic looks to his going home? Seems like he's always exhausted after the first five minutes in the car!)

Whatever, Mom! You's just jealous! We have more fun weekend stuff to report on tomorrow!

Pugs, Pumpkins and a Calendar!

One more day until Pugfest, peoples!!!! If you lives anywhere close to Atlanta, pack up the puggies and head there tomorrow morning!

Do you know what they's gonna have at Pugfest? Yeah, there will be pugs and pug stuff and pug t-shirts and pug treats and all other kinds of pug goings ons. But there will also be a pug calendar! A pug calendar with a picture of ME! If you can't go to Pugfest, don't worries. You can buy my calendar online at http://store.rescuepug.com/calendar.html.

Remember, not only will you gets to have a calendar with me in it, you's gonna be helping little puggies who haven't found their furever home yet.

Have you puggies ever had a pumpkin?? Has you ever been ON a pumpkin?? Last night Mom was playing with this pumpkin all night - I wasn't too happy about that until I discovered how good pumpkins taste! Then, I was OK with her playing with it and not me. Then, when she got finished with it I saw that it was still all about me. She had put me on the pumpkin! Look!

I looks kinda good in orange!

Ok, all you puggies and peoples and other animals have lots of fun on Howloween and be safe!

Wild Thing!

Hey there pugs and peoples! I's so exciteds to tell you about last night!

Me and the Mom went to Howl-o-Ween at Generation Dog! (although it was actually next door at a pizza place... NOM!) Mom has been workings on my costume and her costume all week. You's already seen the humiliating piccies of me in those fishnets. Well, here's what the Mom calls "Phase 2" of the costume.

I let her know just how I was feelings about my costume.

You's still wondering where this is going, aren't you? I know. So was I - believe me!

Once we got to the pizza place, I saw lots of other doggies dressed up (although none with fishnets, so I quickly removed mine!).

There was this big bully dog - he was some kindof martian arts thing I think.

And a crawfish! Mom says it's a lobster, but it's too small to be a lobster, so it must be a crawish!

Oh, and there was cake!

Finally, we puts on all of our costumes for judging. Know who I ams?

I's the monster from Where the Wild Things Are!!!! Mom is Max (although maybe she's Maxine cause she's pink!!!)

The humiliation was worths it. We won two prizes! For both of them we got gift certificates for the pizza place AND Generation Dog! I can't waits to spend all my winnings at Genearation Dog! It's gonna be great!

The fun keeps coming too! Mom says Saturday is Pugfest. YAY!!!!

Will & Grace

Ok. I's gettin ready to show you some more pictures from Pugfest. But, first I's gonna tell you a little story. Ok, Mom is going to tell it.

There are two pugs named Will and Grace. Will and Grace were found wandering on the side of a road, covered in mud with no hair (demodox mange) and Will had an awful eye injury. There are two "before" pictures and I'm going to show you the better of the two. Brace yourselves, it's not pretty.

SEPRA took them in, got them treatment and started them on their road to recovery. When found they were a little over 5 months old and only weighed 4 and 6 lbs. (Grace being the smaller of the two). Well, they were at Pugfest and I was so happy to see how well they are doing. Here are some pictures and a video.

Here are Will and Grace (Will was very hard to get a picture of because he was so active!)

Cute little Grace
See how cute, alert and active they are!?!?!

Please read their entire story. I think they will make wonderful additions to someone's home.

Pugfest Pictures

As promised, some pictures from Pugfest! Mom volunteered to work this year so she didn't take as many pictures as I told her to. We spent an hour and a half selling t-shirts, and notice I did say "WE". She had me working - at Pugfest! I don't think that's acceptable.

Elvis Pugsley!

Cute little fairy pug

One of these things is not like the others....

I feel your pain, dude.

Those are the best ones... tomorrow (or later today) I have a few more but there's a special story that goes with them. So stay tuned!

Pugfest - It's Almost Here!!!!!

This Saturday is one of the bestest days in the whole year! It's Pugfest!!!! Me and Mom are gonna get up early Saturday morning and drive to Atlanta for a day of pugs and fun! This is the annual fundraiser for SEPRA - the wonderful people who put me and my mom together.

To get ready, I'm looking at photos from last year.

Here I am settling in, claiming my space.

Pugfest has a costume contest. Here were some of our favorites.

I entered the contest as a spider but sadly I did not win.

Look at these funny pugs. They didn't have to walk around all day.

I did have to walk around all day and I was so tired at the end of the day!

I wish you all lived close to Atlanta so you could come to Pugfest with me!

PugFest 2008

It must be getting close to PugFest time 'cause I found this on SEPRA's website. I'm so excited. Mom said October is not really that close, but I refuse to believe her. I'm going to start counting down the days until PugFest 'cause it's the best Fest there is!

Here's me last year at my very first PugFest.

Settling in.

Pug mug.

End of the day, exhausted.
