Midi Monday

In today's Midi Monday, we discuss Reluctant Snuggling, sometimes referred to as Snuggling Out of Necessity

Hello pugs, pug sympathizers and those who must live with pugs and/or pug sympathizers. Today we're going to discuss what I call Snuggling Out of Necessity - it's what us cats have to do when it's just too darn cold to sleep by ourselves and there's no lap available (as was the case this weekend).

First, find a pug - I can assure you the pug will already be sleeping or about to sleep. Move in on the pug.

Now, you must assess the situation from a closer perspective to figure out just how far away you can lay while still gaining some body heat from said pug.

Remember, once you get in position you can move if necessary. Rule of paw is if you can feel the pug breathing on you, you're too close!

Hey, move over a little, Tubby!

Normally, you should avoid any photos being captured while you are in this position. I allowed these only to demostrate my technique.

Hope this helps! Peace out!

My cats thank you for the demonstration. They will give it a try. To date they have yet to curl up to close to one of my trio of pugs. But they will snag one of the spots the pugs get up off of that is already warm. Kind of opportunistic don't you think?...lol.

Hi Midi! You have all the right moves to get to the pug where it is nice and warm. Great work!

I think Harry secretly wants to snuggle with you but he just pretends that he's a tough guy.

Oh no, I just got caught doing improper snuggling with Pumpkin. Look at my blog to see how to not snuggle with a dog.

Hi Midi! There are no cats at home, but mom is always trying to get cozy close to me. And she actually doesn't mind me breathing close to her. It's me who gets bothered!

Kizzy and Tika have taken notes. They are thrilled with this post. They say it is about time it is about us cats instead of that furry beige tubby guy we call Winston. POL (Purring Out Loud).

Midi, thanks for the insightful lesson.
My momma was squealing a little because she thinks your white feet are totally the cutest.
Good luck with Harry. I'll gladly snuggle him if you won't!

Hi Midi - This is Jet - there is no cat/pug snuggling in our house. Once in a while I will lick the pug but that is to trick her right before I bite her - MOL.

Harry, my fellow calendar model,

The TV said 'How good are the Saints?'.. and I knew you'd have an answer for that!!! :)

Midi, I think it's okay if you get closer to Harry. Just as long as no one gets a picture of it! Heeeeee! Stay warm!
